About Fotopop

Fotopop was launched in early 2008 after 2 years of market research and development by Group Momentum, the market leader in Australian in digital print imaging technologies. Fotopop are seeking to become the market leader in internet-based digital publishing of high quality photo books and products for the Australian market.

The Fotopop management team is headed up by David Minnett.

David is a keen photographer who also owns and manages Red Rocket Studios, a Sydney based commercial photography studio. David also has extensive experience in the development and management of internet-based digital printing businesses.

Fotopop’s photo albums and products are produced on Australia’s first 7 colour high resolution HP printing press. This new digital printing press was developed by the research and development team at HP in the USA. It replaces the traditional methods of photo printing using chemistry which are being phased out as they have become an environmentally unacceptable method for producing hard copy photo prints.

The HP digital press uses special colour inks and colour management software to give you a far superior final result to anything that you have seen before and are produced using a more environmentally sound method of production with vegetable based die inks and paper that is produced from sustainable forestry plantations.
